Why Do We Invest?  Investing can feel overwhelming and confusing.  It may leave you wondering why not just save money in your savings account for your retirement?

While keeping your investments safe and sound in your bank account may seem like a good way to save for the short term, it leaves you open to an equally serious risk: inflation.

In this short video, I use a simple whiteboard and some visuals to explain how inflation impacts our money over time.  I then talk about types of investments that have historically done a good job keeping up with inflation.
